Less Than a Fortnight

Less than two weeks after being diagnosed with cancer, got the news last night that Dave Barrie had died.

It's scary to think how quickly these things can happen. Worked hard all his life, being honest and sincere, and he gets less than a fortnight to put things in order - oh shit.

There are things we still had to talk about, and I have it on my list to phone him this week to find out how he is keeping, unfortunately I never got round to making that phone call - sorry Davie.

You did us a turn - thanks Davie.

e-LearningNow Launched

After much soul searching and risk analysis, I finally took some action about something I have been contemplating for some time now. I have set-up and launched e-LearningNow.

As its' title suggests, e-LearningNow is a web site that collects the latest details of what is going on in the market at the moment. It will lead to the seperation of the news & information part of the Just Learn website from the marketing bits and pieces of the Just Learn website.

It's early days, but the basic structure is there. More details will follow.

The Good Olde BBC

I have to admit that the quality of the BBC has been going downhill in the past few years. Their journalism just isn't rigorous enough, and the quality of content is superficial at best. But hey, I'm starting to get old and the good olde days are the good olde days.

However, we now have evidence of just how crap the BBC are:

Watch in awe - and cringe for the guy.

Hectic Week

What a hectic week it has been.

From a rugby festival for 300 school kids on Tuesday to eLearningAlliance AGM (brief summary here) on Wednesday to Rugby Club AGM yesterday.

As a result of these events, I am now a director of the eLA whilst still secretary of the rugby club, and now also 3rd XV manager.
