Stepping Down from the Alliance

Following a discussion with the Chair of the Alliance, I have decided to stand down as a Director, due to the possibility that at some point in the future there may be a clash of interest with the two projects.

Following the launch of :e-LearningNow: at the start of July, I have spent time over the summer planning the next couple of phases of this project. At the moment, :e-LearningNow: is primarily a news information service, but the plan does look to extend the services offered by the brand and website. I can therefore see that this may lead to a situation where some of the services it has been suggested the eLearning Alliance could offer and those of :e-LearningNow: may actually overlap.

So following on from our earlier discussion, I feel I would be more comfortable stepping down from the Board of the Alliance to prevent any perception that there may be a clash of interest in what I do as a commercial venture and what I could be doing with the Alliance.
